The Best Twitter Memes About Kylie Jenner's 2022 Met Gala Look

Kylie Jenner's 2022 Met Gala look has people thinking less about the Gilded Age and more about their aging produce.

Twitter has birthed a new meme format, with some help from the Off-White bridal look that Jenner wore to fashion's biggest night earlier this week.

The reality TV star walked the famous carpeted steps in an ivory gown from the label's fall/winter 2022 couture collection, the final offering from the late designer Virgil Abloh, who passed away last November. The outfit included a ruffled, voluminous skirt and a tightly fitted bodice over a mesh short-sleeved top. Accessories included a bridal veil fastened to a white baseball cap with floral details and a pair of chandelier earrings.

Jenner explained the meaning behind the eye-catching look on Instagram. "Virgil and i were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020. to celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me," she wrote, captioning behind-the-scenes photos of her night. "I'm humbled to wear this dress and honor my talented beautiful friend. we felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever ♾ & thank u to the entire @off____white team !!"

Twitter found less humor with the beauty mogul's actual outfit than it did with a specific close-up photo of Jenner, in which her netted bridal veil obscures her camera-ready face. Users were quick to compare her face to various grocery items one might similarly find in a netted bag: oranges, Babybel cheese, garlic.

"Babybel cheeses trying to convince you to buy them in the dairy section," one tweet reads.
